The U.S. is running out of hospital capacity nationwide, and this could usher in a whole new level of suffering in the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a just-published article in The Atlantic, American hospitals can not cope with the levels of coronavirus infections we are seeing today — and the worst is likely to come after the holidays cause the third wave to spike even higher. With health care workers stressed to the brink and shortages in space and supplies taking place, we could be truly looking at the “dark winter” Dr. Anthony Fauci has been warning us about for some time.
